MY STORY
"A duck call in the hands of the unskilled is one of conservation's greatest assets."
-Nash Buckingham
I was introduced to duck hunting in a pirogue.
Paddling around flooded timber and buck brush swamps, my dad would "jump shoot"ducks. I was too little to shoot, so he would let me pick them up off the water. He blew an old "Mallardtone"duck call, and as the ducks would get up,
he would call them back.
Seeing those ducks come back to that old call was my first connection to the outdoors. I was too young to know it then, but those moments would shape
the course of my life.
In my teenage years, I started recording ducks calling at other ducks. I was captivated on how small inflections in their notes and cadences would
make them react.
I started a lifelong pursuit of chasing the sounds I heard by modifying different calls on the market until they sounded identical.
After 30 seasons, I decided to build my own calls and share what I've learned. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed building them.
